Major international educational publishers in the GBL market are Pearson, McGraw-Hill, Santillana, Cengage Learning, Singapore-based Popular Holdings, Japan-based Benesse, Macmillan, France-based Hachette Livre (Lagardère), Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, the Klett Group in Germany, and the European publisher Sanoma Learnin.
